Cookie Policy
What cookies we use on neelnetworks.com, why we use them, and how you can control them.
This policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on neelnetworks.com, what each one does, and how you can manage them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
What cookies are
A cookie is a very small text file that a website places on your computer, tablet or telephone when you visit. It allows the site to remember things about your visit, such as the pages you have looked at or the preferences you have set, so that your next visit is smoother.
Cookies cannot run programs, carry viruses or read other files on your device. They simply store small pieces of information that the website can read back.
We also use one or two similar technologies, such as small pieces of code in the page that measure how the site is performing. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as cookies throughout this page.
Why we use them
We use cookies for a small number of practical purposes:
- To make the website work. Some cookies are essential — they keep a form working while you fill it in, remember that you have dismissed a notice, and protect forms against automated abuse.
- To remember your preferences, such as your chosen language or region, so you do not have to set them again.
- To understand how the site is used. Analytics cookies tell us which pages are read, how visitors arrive and where they lose interest. This is what tells us which pages need rewriting.
- To measure our advertising. Where we run a campaign, these cookies tell us whether it led to an enquiry, so that we do not keep paying for something that does not work.
We do not use cookies to build a detailed profile of you, and we do not sell information collected through them.
The cookies we use
| Type | What it does | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps sessions and forms working, and protects against spam and automated submissions | These are required for the site to function |
| Preferences | Remembers choices such as language or region, and whether you have closed a notice | Yes, through your browser |
| Analytics | Google Analytics, which counts visits and shows us which pages are read and how people arrive | Yes |
| Advertising | Google Ads conversion measurement, which tells us whether an advertisement led to an enquiry | Yes |
| Embedded content | Videos, maps and social media posts embedded in a page may set their own cookies | Yes, through your browser or by not interacting with the embed |
Cookies set by other companies
Some cookies on our site are set by other organisations rather than by us. This happens when we use their service on a page.
- Google Analytics — to understand how the website is used
- Google Ads — to measure whether our advertising is working
- Embedded video, maps and social media — where a page includes content hosted elsewhere
These companies set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control. If you would like to know exactly what they collect, their own privacy and cookie policies are the right place to look.
How to control cookies
You are entirely free to refuse or delete cookies. Every modern browser allows you to do so from its settings, usually under Privacy or Security.
- Google Chrome — Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and other site data
- Safari — Settings, then Privacy
- Mozilla Firefox — Settings, then Privacy & Security
- Microsoft Edge — Settings, then Cookies and site permissions
You may also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the browser add-on that Google provides for that purpose.
Please do be aware that blocking all cookies affects most websites you visit, not only ours, and some features may stop working as intended. If you are unsure, allowing cookies but clearing them periodically is usually a sensible middle course.
How long cookies last
- Session cookies exist only while your browser is open and disappear the moment you close it.
- Persistent cookies remain for a set period, usually between a few days and two years depending on their purpose, so that the site can recognise a returning visitor.
You can remove either kind at any time by clearing your browsing data.
Changes to this policy
If we add or remove a service that sets cookies, we will update this page and change the date at the top. We would encourage you to glance at it occasionally.

Is anything here
unclear? .
Please do ask. We would much rather explain a clause than have you agree to something you have not had time to read.
