Custom E-commerce Website Development for Unique Business Needs.

Shopify or WooCommerce works for most businesses, but some need more flexibility. Custom e-commerce website development makes sense when you need unique pricing, subscriptions, quotations, or complex integrations. We build around how your business sells, orders, prices, and fulfils

Would it suit you?

For the business model the cart was not designed for.

A custom store earns its keep when the rules are the product — who sees which price, what a customer may order, and how an order becomes an invoice. Everything a hosted platform gives you without asking, you now own: the upkeep, security and hosting. In return, nothing sits between your business rules and your website. Our custom e-commerce development services are built around those rules from the beginning.

A good fit if

  • Pricing changes by customer, contract, volume or region
  • You have B2B rules — approvals, credit terms, purchase orders or dealer accounts
  • Your shop must sit on top of an ERP, CRM or system you already run
  • You sell something a standard cart cannot easily describe — configurations, quotations or subscriptions
  • You need custom online store development around a business model rather than a standard catalogue

Perhaps consider another option if

  • You sell ordinary products to ordinary customers at one price
  • You would like to be selling within weeks rather than months
  • Nobody on your side will own the upkeep after launch
  • The budget would do more good spent on photography, copy and advertising
What we do with Custom store

Four things we settle before any code is written.

01

The rules, written down

Who sees which price, what may be ordered, what happens when an order needs approval. We set the rules out in plain English and have you confirm them before anything is built.

02

The whole journey of an order

From first enquiry to invoice to despatch — including the steps that quietly happen in somebody's inbox today.

03

What it must talk to

Stock, accounting, despatch, CRM. The integrations usually decide more about the build than the storefront ever does.

04

Who maintains it

A custom store has no platform looking after it. We agree who updates it, how it is backed up and what the first year will cost — before you commit.

If your pricing and rules do turn out to fit a standard cart, we will say so. A custom store is a long commitment, and it is no compliment to be sold one you did not need.

Included

What you receive, whichever platform we use.

  • A fixed, itemised quotation before anything begins.
  • Search essentials handled properly, with every existing address preserved if we move your site.
  • Speed checked on an ordinary phone, not only on a laptop.
  • A training video recorded on your own website.
  • Twelve months of support, with every account in your name.

Questions

About Custom store.

If something here is not covered, please do ask. We would rather answer it now than have you commit to a platform you are unsure about.

Check your business health ↗
How much longer does a custom store take?

Usually two to three times the time of a comparable Shopify build, because the business rules must be understood and agreed before they can be written into the system. Once those rules are settled, our custom e-commerce website development company provides a fixed quotation and dated plan.

What about payments and security?

We use established payment providers so card details do not need to touch your server. That keeps your compliance obligations smaller, and we explain exactly which security responsibilities remain yours as part of the custom e-commerce development process

Who looks after it afterwards?

You may, or we can manage it through a care plan. Twelve months of support is included either way, and everything is documented so another developer could pick up the project without depending on us.

Could we begin on Shopify and move later?

Often, that is the wiser route. Launch on a hosted platform, learn what your customers actually need, then move to custom e-commerce development services once the rules are proven rather than assumed.

Is the code genuinely ours?

Entirely. The code, database, hosting and domain are in your name from the first day, as with everything we build. You are not locked into our company to own or operate the store.
